Frequently Asked Questions

How do I book an appointment?

Before you book an appointment with us, please ensure you have a valid referral either from your GP or another specialist and that the referral is addressed to Professor Dédée Murrell.

Please either fax the referral to 02 9598 5800 or email it to murrell.patients@ori.org.au . Professor Murrell will review your referral prior to your appointment being booked to ensure you are booked into the correct clinic.

Make sure the referral has your contact details so that we can call you to book your appointment.

Please note a deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. Your deposit will be deducted from your consultation fee at the time payment.

Will the cost of the consultation be covered by Medicare or my private health insurer?

You will receive some money back from Medicare.

Most private health insurance companies do not cover Dermatology consults, however it is probably best to check with your own insurer to be sure.

Is there a cancellation policy?

For new patients we require a minimum 72 hours notice prior to your appointment or you will forfeit your deposit.

For existing patients we require a minimum of 24 hours notice or you will be charged a cancellation fee.

How can I be sure that a clinical trial is safe?

All clinical trials we conduct here at Premier Dermatology are ethics-approved and are regularly monitored for safety and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) compliance.

If you have any concerns or would like further information please feel free to contact us.

Is there Parking nearby?

Kogarah Town Square car park (entry via Derby Street) is the closest car park. Parking is for a maximum of 3 hours and the cost is $1.00 per half hour (first half hour is free).

There is additional paid parking at St George Hospital either across from our building or at the multi story car park on Belgrave Street.

Can I use public transport?

We are about 5min walking distance of Kogarah railway station, located on the Illawarra line (blue).

There are also buses stops nearby.
