About Us
Established in 1997 by Professor Dédée Murrell, Dermatology Trials Australia has become one of Australia’s established centres for dermatology clinical research. Professor Murrell’s vision for the centre was inspired by her experience undertaking clinical trials at leading institutions in the United States, including Duke University, New York University, Rockefeller University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She brought this experience back to Australia with the aim of providing patients with opportunities to participate in innovative clinical research and contributing to advances in dermatological care.
Today, Professor Murrell is one of Australia’s leading medical dermatologists and clinical trials investigators. Together with our experienced clinical trials team, we conduct research into a range of dermatological conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, hair loss and rare blistering diseases.
